1959 Hillman Minx Convertible

1959 Hillman Minx. Unusual find as not many were originaly sold in the US; let alone survived this long. Thrifty four cylinder with column shift 3 speed. This is an original California example with it's Black Plates issued when new. It has always been rust free. Very straight body; no prior accident damage or repairs. Purchased from the estate of a long time local collector. Just replaced the brakes; clutch slave cylinder and new fuel. Runs excellent, "whisper quiet". Had been in garage storage some time. Will need tires replaced and radiator cleaned yet to make daily driver. Paint is older and shows some age. Interior decent but had been recovered at some time in the past. Will need new top fabric. Top frame is in very good shape.
